Abstract
Early detection of breast cancer can use its own breast examination method (BSE), according to the WHO states that 8-9% of women have breast cancer. The results of a preliminary survey of 10 female students attending Private Aliyah Madrasah (MAS) Al-washliyah Gedung Johor Medan showed that 1 student had good knowledge about BSE, 1 person had an adequate attitude, and 8 people did not know about BSE. This study aims to determine the relationship of knowledge and attitudes with the implementation of awareness in young women of class X in Private Aliyah Madrasah (MAS) Al-Washliyah Gedung Johor Medan in 2018.
This research is an analytical survey with a cross sectional approach. This research was conducted at Al-Washliyah Building in Medan, Medan, with 30 young women in class X at the Private Aliyah Madrasah (MAS) Al-Washliyah Building in Johor Medan in 2018.
The results of the chi-square test show that the significant value of probability of knowledge is s-p = 0.001 <siq value α = 0.05, in Private Madrasah Aliyah (MAS) Al-Washliyah Gedung Johor Medan the significant value of the probability of attitude is sig-p = 0,001 <nialai siq α = 0,05. In Private Aliyah Madrasah (MAS) Al-Washliyah, Gedung Johor Medan.
The conclusion of this study is the Knowledge and Attitude Relationship with BSE Implementation in Young Women Class X in Private Aliyah Madrasah (MAS) Building Johor Al-Washliyah in 2018. It is expected that students can improve their knowledge, attitude, and think more positively about the benefits of BSE implementation.
