Abstract
Whitish is a name of the disease of women, in the form of discharge of white fluid from the vagina in the form of mucus. Sometimes the mucus that comes out of the vagina smells rotten, but sometimes it does not smell at all. From the initial survey obtained by researchers at UPT Puskesmas Desa Lalang Medan 7 respondents experienced pathological vaginal discharge and 3 people experienced physiological discharge. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that affect the incidence of leucorrhea (fluor albus) in women of childbearing age at UPT Puskesmas Desa Lalang Medan Year 2017.
The research type is analytical survey with cross sectional approach that is calculation to know from a case. The population in this study of women of childbearing age of 96 people by using accidental sampling is accidental sampling. So the total population is used as a sample of 83 people. Univariate, bivariate, chi-square and multivariate analyzed data using multiple logistic regression at 95% confidence level (α = 0,05)
The result of multiple logistic regression shows that there are two variables having p-value <0,05. Namely variable personal hygiene (p = 0,002), variable douching vaginal (p = 0,000). Which means it can be concluded that there is influence between vaginal douching and personal hygiene against the whiteness event at UPT Puskesmas Desa Lalang Medan Year 2017.
It is recommended that the research site provide extension to housewives about the natural hygienic vulva to have good personal hygiene and have correct understanding as one way to reduce the risk of pathologic discharge and STIs.
