Abstract

Management of medical records in hospitals is to support the achievement of orderly administration in an effort to achieve hospital goals, namely improving the quality of health services in hospitals. From the initial survey conducted in January 2019 at the Gunungtua Hospital Medical Records Installation, there were 5 files of Outpatient Medical Records missing every month. From 25 staff, there are only 2 people of Associate’s Degree. SIMRS does not exist, SOP already exists.
This type of research was using descriptive research with a qualitative approach, which aimed to determine an Overview of Outpatient Medical Records Management in Gunungtua District Regional General Hospital. The informants of this research were the head of the medical record, the medical record staff, and the outpatient nurse. Primary data sources were obtained from the results of in-depth interviews and observations, secondary data were obtained from the medical records document at Gunungtua Regional General Hospital.
The research results obtained from flow of Medical Records is too long and the file must be checked to the pharmacy and cashier. The HR is lacking in the indexing section, and for analyzing, assembling, reporting is done only by one person. Educational qualifications of staff are not in accordance with the professional medical record standards. The SIMRS has never been done and the staff did not know the contents of the SOP.
The conclusion of this study is the Outpatient Medical Record Flow is not in accordance with the medical record standards of hospitals in Indonesia. HR is lacking, SIMRS has never run.
