Abstract
Based on data from Puskesmas Kuta Panjang, there were 68 deliveries (32%) in 2015and 2016 births (22%) in non health facility. If the data shows a decrease in the percentage of the number of mothers who do deliveries at home but the number is still above 20% whereas according to the Ministry of Health, there should be no more mothers who give birth at home but give birth at health facilities (100%). The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that influence the utilization of health facilities for mothers.
This type of research is an analytical survey with cross sectional design. The study was conducted at Puskesmas Kuta Panjang Kabupaten Gayo Lues. The population in this study as many as 93 people, and samples obtained 78 people. The data were analyzed by univariate, bivariate using chi-square and multivariate using multiple logistic regression.
The results showed that the variables that influence the utilization of health facilities in Puskesmas Kuta Panjang were knowledge (p = 0,009), attitude (p = 0,048), habit (p = 0,038), husband support (p = 0,030) and health support (p = 0.014). The most influential variables in this study were health personnel support variables, the two knowledge variables, the three husband support variables, the four habitual variables and the five attitude variables. Health support variable has exp (B) value = 17,949 (95% CI = 1,809 - 98,086) means that the respondent stated that the support of health personnel has the opportunity to utilize health facility 17,9 times higher than respondent stating that the support of health worker is less .
The conclusion of this research is that the factors that influence the utilization of health facilities for maternity mothers are the support of health workers, knowledge, husband support, habits, and attitudes. It is recommended that the head of Puskesmas Kuta Panjang improve the coverage of delivery at a health facility by improving health promotion on a regular basis (every 3 months).
