Abstract
Growth is the increase or change in size, size, and number of cells and intercellular tissue, meaning the increase in physical size and body structure. Development is the increase in the structure and function of the body more complex in the ability to rough, smooth motion, speech and language and socialization and independence. Complementary foods of breastmilk is the food needed by babies that can increase the nutritional value of the baby's body. Babies over 6 months can be given additional food. the purpose of this study is to find out the relationship between breastmilk complimentary exposure and the growth of infants aged 7-12 at Baiturrahman Health Center Banda Aceh in 2018.
The research design was analytical survey to determine the relationship of breastfeeding complimentary food with todlers’ growth and development aged of 7-12 months in Baiturrahman health center Banda Aceh 2018 with a cross sectional method with a total sample sampling technique with a total sample of 56 respondent. When the study was conducted on July - September 2018 with univariate and bivariate analysis using the chi squar test.
The results obtained were 56 mayor respondents who were given breastmilk complimentary according to aged amounted 34 respondents (60.7%), and breastfeeding with growth of milk amounted 35 respondents (62.5%), granting funds with the development of 34 babies (60 , 7). Breastmilk complimentary with the growth of Baiturrahman Health Center to infants with the results of 0.016 chi square <α = 0.05. for breastfeeding complimentary food with the development of babies in Baiturrahman health center has results of chi square 0.006 <α = 0.05.
The conclusion from the research that has been done is there is a relationship between giving MP-ASI with growth and growth in infants aged 7-12 months in Baiturrahman health center Banda Aceh in 2018 which is significant. It is expected to provide the best information and services especially MP-ASI.
