Abstract
Uterine Contraception (IUD) is a strong contraceptive method that can be used over a long period. Although effective and can last up to 10 years, the device can prevent pregnancy by reversible, in the sense that the size of the patient is planned to be reintroduced, it can release the contraceptives in the uterus. The IUD is less minimized by all the key factors due to varying reasons. This study aims to find out The Related Factors to Selecting Contraception Instruments (Akdr) on Birth Control Acceptors at Lhoksukon Health Centre North Aceh District 2018.
The research design used a statistical research study with cross-sectional approach is research and measurement of observations carried out together on independent and dependent data. Population of this study amounted 123 samples and the sampled were taken amounted 59 respondents by using slovin formula. The data were collected with respect to the analysis of univariate and bivariate tests with chi-square.
Based on the results of the research test from unicariat with chi-squares showed that the value of knowledge was r = .000 < .05, meaning that there was a significant relationship between knowledge and IUD selection, the value of r = .001 < .05, meaning that there was a significant relationship between age and IUD selection, the value of r = .001 < .05 This means that there is a significant relationship between parity and IUD selection with a value of r = .000 < .05, meaning that there is a significant relationship between husband's support and the IUD selection in mothers of family planning acceptors at the Health Center in Lhoksukon, North Aceh District in 2018.
Conclusion: there is a significant relationship between knowledge, age, parity and support with the selection of IUD in Birth Control acceptors in Lhoksukon Helath Centre of North Aceh District in 2018. The results of this study suggested that health care providers should improve their attendance and provide information about the Uterine Contraception Tool (IUD)
