Abstract
Every baby needs nutritious soft foods which are often called complementary foods ASI (MP-ASI). MP-ASI is a transition food from breast milk to family food. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of complementary feeding with breastfeeding with the growth of 0-6 months infants in the gandapura district health center in Bireun district in 2018.
This type of research is an analytical survey with a cross sectional approach. The population used in this study as the case subject is a study of infants given MP ASI as many as 63 respondents.
The results showed that there was a significant relationship between the relationship of complementary feeding with ASI and the growth of infants 0-6 months in which the results were obtained using the Chi-square test 0.004 <0.05.
Based on the results of the research, suggestions that can be put forward are parents should be able to choose all the nutritional intake that will be given to the child, because good nutrition will affect toddlers. For the next researcher to conduct a wider sample of research so that they can find out the health problems that occur in the community, and obtain more optimal results regarding the relationship of complementary feeding with breast milk growth from 0-6 years.
