Abstract
Background; Perineum wound or tear of the birth canal is a wound that occurs on the birth canal during or after the birth which is usually marked by bleeding on the birth canal. Based on data from the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2015 there were 2.7 million cases of perineum wounds in maternity women. Objectives; The purpose of this study was to determine the factors related to the length of perineum wound healing in maternal postpartum at Desa Pematang Semut, Rokan Hilir District, Riau Province in 2018. Method; The research design uses Analytical Survey with cross sectional approach. The populations in this study were all maternal postpartum who had grade I and II perineum wounds, the study sample used a total population of 36 respondents. The data analysis used univariate and bivariate and tested by using chi square test.Results; Based on the results of the study using chi square test results obtained that there was a relationship of knowledge p value = 0.014 <α 5, personal hygiene p value = 0.005 <α 5%, and early mobilization p value = 0.045 <α 5%, then there was a relationship of knowledge, personal hygiene and early mobilization with the duration of perineum wound healing in maternal postpartum at Desa Pematang Semut, Rokan Hilir District, Riau Province in 2018. Conclusion; The conclusion shows that there is a significant relationship between knowledge, personal hygiene and early mobilization with the duration of perineum wound healing in maternal postpartum at Desa Pematang Semut, Rokan Hilir Disatrict, Riau Province in 2018.
