Abstract
Anxiety during pregnancy in the delivery process that the mother does not overcome can cause tension, obstruct the body's relaxation, cause fatigue or even affect the condition of the fetus in the womb. Factors related to anxiety facing childbirth are knowledge, attitudes, and family support. The purpose of this study is to find out the related factors to Anxiety in Facing Delivery on Maternal Trimester III in Maternity Homes in Medan City in 2018.
The type of this research is analytic survey research with cross sectional design that is to find out the factors that are related to childbirth anxiety in maternal in third trimester in maternity hospital Medan in 2018. The population of this research was 128 maternal in the third trimester. Accidental Sampling was 30 respondents. How to collect data used a questionnaire. Data were analyzed by using the chi-square test and analysis techniques performed with Univariate and Bivariate analysis.
Statistical test results used chi square test, obtained the results of knowledge calculation ρ value = 0.001 < α = 0.05, attitude ρ value = 0.023 < α = 0.05, husband's support ρ value = 0.000 < α = 0.05. This means that there is a relationship of knowledge, attitudes and support of husbands with anxiety facing delivery in maternal in the third trimester in Dina Maternity Home of Medan City in 2018.
The conclusion of this study that the Related Factors to Anxiety in Facing Delivery on Maternal Third Trimester in Dina Maternity Homes in Medan 2018. It is recommended that health workers in the Dina Maternity Home provide the best information and services especially to pregnant women and explain the process of preparation for childbirth.
