Abstract
Hyperemesis Gravidarum is excessive nausea and vomiting, which interferes with daily work and general conditions become worse. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship of husband's support to pregnancy with Hyperemesis Gravidarum at the Syarifah Clinic in Padangsidimpuan City.
This study is an analytical survey using a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were 32 first trimester pregnant women at the Syarifah Padangsidimpuan Clinic. The sampling technique in the study with the total population technique was sampled as many as 32 people. The results of the study were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analysis with the chi-square test.
The results of the study of husband's support for pregnancy indicate that of the 32 majority respondents did not get as much support as 20 people (62.5%), and of the 32 respondents the majority experienced 22 hyperemesis Gravidarum (68.8%). There is a relationship between husband's support for pregnancy with Hyperemesis Gravidarum at Syarifah Padangsidimpuan Clinic in 2018. This is evidenced by the results of the Chi-square test p value (sig) = 0.002 <0.05.
Based on the results of the study concluded that husband's support for pregnancy is related to Hyperemesis Gravidarum. It is expected that health workers provide counseling and counseling by involving their husbands so that they provide good support for pregnant women.
