Abstract

Achievement of 2017 DPT/HB-HiB immunization in Sinabang Village East Simeulue District 71.3% received DPT / HB-HIB1 Immunization, 68.2% received DPT/HB-HIB2 Immunization and 63.3% received DPT/HB-HIB3 Immunization. Related to knowledge, attitudes, skills, support of health workers and husband / family support. This study aims to determine the behavior of mothers in administering DPT/HB-HiB immunization in Sinabang Village, East Simelue District in 2018.
The research used a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods (mixed method) with concurrent triangulation approaches. Research location in Sinabang village, East Simeulue District. The population of this study were 44 mothers with a total sample and informants in this study 4 mothers who had babies <1 year old, 1 midwife in the East Simeulue Health Center and 1 head of the Puskesmas. Data analysis using multiple logistic regression on the confidence level of 95% (α = .05), qualitative analysis by reduction, data display, and verification.
The results showed maternal knowledge (p <α = .05), attitudes (p <α =
.05), skills (p> α =.05), support from health workers (p> α = .05) and husband and family support (p> α = .05) and the most influencing variable is the knowledge variable.
The conclusions of the study were the knowledge, attitudes and support of the husband and family influence on maternal behavior in the provision of DPT/HB-HIB immunization and the skills and support of health workers had no effect. It is suggested for parents to always bring their children to the posyandu, to the Head of the Puskesmas, village midwives are expected to be able to provide information or counseling to mothers about DPT/HB-HIB immunization, benefits or losses.
