Abstract
Hyperemesis Gravidarum occurs in 60-80% Primigravida and 40-60% multigravida. preliminary surveys conducted by researchers at the Maternal and Child Health Center of the Village in Central Tapanuli District conducted in June 2018 that found 7 pregnant women in the experienced Trimester I Hyperemesis Gravidarum. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship of the husband's support with the handling of Hyperemesis Gravidarum at the Village Child Health Center.
The design of this study used analytical survey with a cross sectional approach. The population was all first trimester maternal who experience hyperemesis gravidarum at the Maternal and Child Health Center. Sampling used for a total technique of 30 maternal in the 1st trimester. Data were collected by using a questionnaire method.
Data were analyzed by using chi-square test with a significance level of α .005. The results showed that most of the respondents were 54.8% husband's support, handling hyperemesis gravidarum 21 (71.0%). Statistical test results obtained p = 0.032 α 0.05, so Ho was rejected that means there was a relationship between husband's support with the handling of hyperemesis gravidarum.
The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between husband's support with the treatment of hyperemesis gravidarum in maternal in the first trimester. It is suggested to the husbands in supporting the maternal during pregnancy and understanding of the importance of pregnancy examinations.
