Abstract
Hypertension is one of the reasons that people experience an increase in normal above-normal pressure resulting in an increase in morbidity and mortality. Hospital is one of the health issues in the place of health.
This type of research used descriptive research methods. The samples of the study were prescriptions that state anti hypertensive drugs in hospital care. The data was analyzed in the form of table and bar code.
The results of the study showed that high of anti hypertensive drugs usage in Haji General Hospital Medan in January - June 2018 was Valsartan Nursing by 72.83% and the smallest used was Irbes and 0.83%. Whereas Amlodipine Treatment was 63.64% and Valsartan was 36.44%.
Based on the research that has been concluded, it can be concluded that the high antihypertensive drugs usage in Haji General Hospital Medan in January - June 2018 was Valsartic Treatments at 72.82% and the least used is Irregularities amounted .83%. Whereas Amlodipine Treatment was 60.36% and Valsartan was 36.44%.
It is recommended the drugs is distributed properly to patients in order to be used as targeted.
