Abstract
Lotion is a cosmetic type of moisturizer for the skin and body. One of the simplicia that can be used as an active ingredient in making lotions is fragrant pandan leaves (Pandanus amaryllifolius), which contain active compounds alkaloids, saponins, terpenoids, flavonoids, tannins, polyphenols, vitamin C and vitamin E. The aim of this study is to determine the extract fragrant pandan leaves can be formulated in Lotin's preparation.
This research method used an experimental method by extracting fragrant pandanus leaves (Pandanus amaryllifolius), which was then continued in the formulation of lotion preparations of fragrant pandan leaves extract (Pandanus amaryllifolius) with a concentration of 0%, 1%, 3%, and 5%. Tests on preparations made include tests of homogeneity, pH, irritation, organoleptic and moisture.
The results showed homogeneous lotion preparations, pH test showed good pH on the skin, organoleptic test showed thick texture, green color and aroma of fragrant pandan leaves. The irritation test showed that the preparation does not irritate the skin, and the preparation can moisturize the skin. Conclusion; The conclusion is that fragrant pandan leaves (Pandanus amaryllifolius) extract can be formulated in a green lotion.
