Abstract
Poor nutrition is a process of chronic malnutrition. Toddlers are vulnerable to being malnourished because toddlers are children who are in growth and development. From the report of the Aceh Singkil Health Center there was an increase in 2017 regarding malnutrition. The purpose of this study was to analyze the performance of nutrition workers about efforts to reduce malnutrition cases in the work area of Aceh Singkil Health Center in 2018.
This type of research is qualitative research using phenomenological research design which is research that specializes in phenomena and reality that appear to objectively examine the explanation in it. This research was conducted in the work area of the Aceh Singkil Health Center with a total sample of 7 informants.
The results showed that the Qualitative Analysis of the Performance of Nutrition Officers on Efforts to Improve Malnutrition Cases in the Work Area of the Aceh Singkil Health Center with the government program in the form of assistance from the Health Oprasinal Assistance (BOK), Supplementary Feeding (PMT) had been carried out well. Counseling about food and visits of toddlers of Keposyandu and activities to empower village midwives and cadres in an effort to improve the nutritional status of childrenunderfive.
The problem of malnutrition at the Aceh Singkil Health Center is still not completely overcome because of the low income and knowledge of mothers and the existence of a culture of indifference and feeling that the problem of malnutrition is not a problem.
