Abstract
The World Health Organization (WHO) in 2015 resulted in a percentage of infants who were exclusively breastfed for 6 months from 2007-2014 in the African region 36%, in the Eastern Mediterranean region 40%, and in the Wester Pacitic region 20%. The way to improve milk ramificcation was by doing massage oxytocin to stimulate hypophysis and posterior hemorrhage so that it released hormone- oxytocin, concluding that the oxytocin was used to increase the production of beast milk and for uterine contractions after birth in preventing postpartum bleeding. The porpose of this study is to find out the differece before the average and after massege massage is an increase in breastmilk in Medan clinic in 2018
The design of the study used the medhod of your experiment (Quasi Experiment) with the approach used in this study is the design of interpretation and posttes without control group. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling with the number of respondents 20 hours of part-time to 4 -40 days. Univariate and bivariate data analysis.
The results showed that the value before massage was 16.50 while the value after massage was 32.00. The average value of breastmilk produce before the test (massage) with a p value of 0,05 with an average number of .00. While after the oxytocin massage test the p value was 10.00 with an average number of 190.00.
The conclusion of this study showed that the experimental test results have a significant probability value of sig p = 0.000 or < sig value α = 0.05. This proves that there is a significant difference in milk production between before and after oxytocin massage. It is advisable for health workers, especially at the Niar clinic so that this research becomes an input in efforts to increase breast milk production in newborns.
