Abstract

Non-communicable diseases have become the leading cause of death globally at this time. Posbindu PTM is a form of service that involves community participation through promotive-preventive efforts. Of the 10 elderly people who were interviewed directly, 3 elderly people used Posbindu PTM while 7 other elderly people did not use Posbindu PTM. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that influence the utilization of Posbindu PTM in the elderly in the Work Area of Rantang Medan Puskesmas, Medan Petisah District.
This research is a mixed methods research, which combines two forms of approach in qualitative and quantitative research. There are 3 informants in this research. The population in this study were 653 elderly and samples taken by accidental sampling were 87 elderly. Data collection methods are primary data and secondary data. Analysis of the data used is binary logistic regression test.
The results showed that knowledge had sig-p .011 < .05, attitude had sig-p .017 > .05, distance had sig-p .041 < .05, support of health workers had sig-p 0.415 > .05 and family support has a sig-p of .028 < .05.
The conclusion in this study there is the influence of knowledge, attitudes, distance and family support for the use of Posbindu PTM in the elderly, whereas the support of health workers does not have an influence on the use of Posbindu PTM in the elderly. This research is expected to be a useful input or information for Puskesmas, Health Services, and other institutions related to the utilization of integrated post counseling services for non-communicable diseases (Posbindu PTM).
