Abstract
Perineal injury or tear in the birth canal is an injury that occurs in the birth canal during or after labor which is usually marked by bleeding in the birth canal. Based on data from the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2015 there were 2.7 million cases of perineal injury in maternity. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between early mobilization and healing of perineal wounds in puerperal mothers in sunartik clinic in Sei Mencirim 2019. Methods: The design of this study was an Analytical Survey with cross-sectional approach. The population in this study were all postpartum mothers who suffered perineal injuries. The sample used a total population of 31 respondents. Data analysis used univariate and bivariate tests with chi-square test. Result: Based on the results of the study with the chi-square test, most respondents performed early mobilization of 25 people (80.6%) and most experienced rapid healing of perineal wounds of 22 people (71%). there is a relationship between early mobilization with perineal wound healing with α = .043<.05 at Sunartik Clinic in Sei Mencirim in 2019. Conclusion: of this study is that there is a relationship between early mobilization and healing of perineal wounds in puerperal mothers at Sunartik clinic in Sei Mencirim in 2019. It is suggested to health workers to be able to provide information about the process of healing of perineal wounds to puerperal mothers.
