Abstract

Nursing services are a critical factor in the success of health services in hospitals, because in almost every country up to 80% of health services are provided by nurses. as many as 40% of health service providers in Indonesia are nursing staff. Nursing staff contribute significantly to the services provided by a hospital so that work motivation is needed. Motivation can be seen as a characteristic that exists in the workforce. During work, labor motivation has changes as a result of interaction between labor and the work environment, so that it can also be seen as an output of labor.
This study aims to determine the relationship of predisposing factors with work motivation of nurses in the Inpatient Room of Langsa City Hospital. This study uses the dependent variable namely work motivation and the independent variable namely incentives, organizational culture and work environment. This research is an analytical survey with a cross sectional research design. The study population was all nurses in the Inpatient Room of Langsa Regional Hospital. The number of samples as many as 73 people with sampling techniques using proportional stratified random sampling techniques.
The results of the study of the 73 majority respondents had negative work motivation of 40 respondents (54.8%). The results of the bivariate analysis concluded that there was a relationship between incentives, organizational culture and work environment with the nurses' work motivation in the Inpatient Room of Langsa City Hospital. The results of multivariate analysis concluded that the incentive factor was the most influential factor in the work motivation of nurses in the Inpatient Room of Langsa City Hospital.
To the Hospital Institution to create a policy that focuses on the welfare of nurses by providing incentives that meet nurses' expectations both financially and non-financially so as to produce nurses who have the potential to have good service behavior.
