Abstract

Maderavine leaves are medicinal ingredients that contain alkaloids, saponins and flavonoids that act directly as antibiotics. Objective, Research to determine the effectiveness of Maderavine leaves extract gel with different concentrations in healing cut infected by Staphylococcus aureus bacteria and to find out the difference in effectiveness of Maderavine leaves extract gel as an antibacterial. Menthod, This type of research is experimental. The work stages consist of purposive sampling, plant identification, sample processing, manufacturing of Maderavine leaves extracts, making gel dosage form, evaluating gel sedans and testing the effectiveness of Maderavine leaves extract gels on healing cut infected by Staphylococcus aureus bacteria in rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus). Result, The research obtained was organoleptic test fulfilling the requirements of shape, color and odor. Homogeneity test did not have coarse grains on the glass. The pH test met the skin pH requirements from 4.5 to 6.5. The effectiveness test for infected cuts in rabbits from H0-H14, H9 bioplacenton was completely closed, the base gel and gel 1% H13 were completely closed, 5% and 7% H10 were completely closed. ANOVA statistical test results of significant value P = .885> .05. Conclusion, The conclusion shows that Maderavine leaves extract gel has the effectiveness of healing cuts infected by Staphylococcus aureus bacteria and Maderavine leaves extract gel concentrations of 1%, 5% and 7% provide a healing effect of wound cuts in rabbits, the most good effect is shown in Maderavine leaves extract gel 7%.
