Abstract

The success of malaria elimination in Aceh Singkil Regency is not followed by other regions in Aceh. Achievement of malaria elimination achievement is inseparable from various related sectors that have a strong commitment to jointly mobilize malaria prevention and control with the percentage of Annual Parasite Incident (API) per 1000 population in 2017 reaching 0%. can cause people to suffer from malaria. The research objective is to analyze the evaluation of the implementation of malaria elimination program in Aceh Singkil Regency in 2018.
This type of research is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. The research informants were divided into 5 key informants namely the person in charge of P2P, malaria management officers, village midwives and 4 main informants namely the head of the puskesmas and village head and 6 additional informants namely the community, pregnant women, cadres. Data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis through the stages of data reduction, presentation and conclusion drawing.
The results showed that the findings and procedures of patients were not carried out, but people who had fever still had their blood checked. Prevention and control of malaria is not carried out such as the distribution of mosquito nets and pememportan home environment. Epidemiological surveillance and epidemic prevention are not carried out because there are no outbreaks, so monitors are made in the form of monthly reports. The improvement of education and information communication (IEC) continues to the present through counseling the community more focused on village midwives / cadres. Increasing human resources in the form of training and guidance to officers has never been. The percentage of Annual Parasite Incident (API) per 1000 population in 2018 reaches 0%.
The conclusion is that the evaluation of the implementation of the malaria elimination program has decreased in frequency but the vigilance of officers is still ongoing.
