Abstract

Good drinking water that meets the requirements of the Indonesian Minister of Health No. 492/MENKES/PER/IV/2010 that is water that is tasteless, odorless, colorless, does not pass the conditions of turbidity, TDS, pH, total hardness and is not polluted by Escherichia coli bacteria. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the refill drinking water circulating in the village area of Kodam Sunggal met good quality requirements.
The research method was done experimentally by physical examination, pH, water hardness was done by complexometry and Escherichia coli bacterial test using MPN method.
The results of five drinking water samples, three samples A, B and E met the odorless, tasteless odor test, 3-7 TCU color test, TDS test 26.5-33.3 mg/L, turbidity test .82-.98 NTU, temperature 26oC, pH 6.5-7.2, hardness level 0-42.2 mg/L, E.coli test 0. Samples C and D did not meet the positive requirements containing E.coli 6 bacteria, 9 and 3,6.
The conclusion of the study shows that three refill drinking water samples at village area of Kodam Sunggal meet the requirements for good drinking water quality in terms of testing in accordance with the Regulation of Minister of Health of Republic of Indonesia Number 492/MENKES/PER/IV/2010.
