Abstract

Toddler is a group that is prone to experiencing nutritional problems. Nutrition problems are directly caused by poor intake and high infectious diseases. Objective: to determine factors related to malnutrition in children under five in the Promise Health Center of the West Bilah District Labuhan Batu District in 2019. Method: The design of this study was analytic survey research with cross sectional approach. The research location was in the work area of the Health Center of the Janji. The study was conducted in March to August 2019. The population of this study was children under five. A sample of 95 people. Data analysis was carried out with univariate and bivariate and multivariate analyzes with binary logistic tests. Results: The results of the study with the chi-square test showed there was a relationship between knowledge (p = 0.002 <0.05), education (p = 0,000 <0.05), income (p = 0,000 <0.05), employment (p = 0,000 <0.05) and a history of infectious diseases (p = 0,000 <0.05) with malnutrition in children under five years in the Promise Work Area of the West Bilah District in Labuhan Batu Regency in 2019. Conclusion: Expected by officers There is a relationship between knowledge, education, income, employment and history of infectious diseases with undernutrition in children under five years in the Promise Work Area of the West Bilah District Labuhan Batu Regency in 2019. It is hoped that health workers will further promote health promotion as their role in achieving a goal namely improving the health of mother and child.
