Abstract

Background: Exclusive Breastmilk is the best first and main food for babies, which is natural. Breast milk contains various nutrients needed in the process of growth and development of infants. Based on the Health Profile of North Sumatra in 2017, the percentage of infants who were exclusively breastfed from 2012-2017 tended to increase, except in 2016. Objective: This study aims to determine the factors that influence obstacles in exclusive breastfeeding. Methods: This research was analytic survey with cross-sectional approach. The population used in this study is mothers who have babies aged 0-6 months amounted 30 people. Results: showed at a 95% confidence level with a = 0.005 shows the work with exclusive breastfeeding obtained p=.015<a (.05), Knowledge by exclusive breastfeeding obtained p=.048<a (.05), attitude with exclusive breastfeeding is obtained p=.048<a (.05). After being analyzed, of the 30 mothers who provided exclusive breastfeeding, the factor that influenced the barriers to exclusive breastfeeding was maternal occupation (p=.045, OR=5.765). Conclusion: from these results proves that there is a relationship of work, knowledge and attitudes of mothers in exclusive breastfeeding at Outpatient Regional Health Centre in West Mandrehe in 2019.

Abstrak
Latar Belakang: ASI Eksklusif merupakan makanan pertama dan utama yang terbaik bagi bayi,yang bersifat alamiah. ASI mengandung berbagai zat gizi yang dibutuhkan dalam proses pertumbuhan dan perkembangan bayi. Berdasarkan Profil Kesehatan Sumatera Utara Tahun 2017, cakupan persentase bayi yang diberi ASI Eksklusif dari tahun 2012-2017 cenderung meningkat, kecuali pada tahun 2016. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor yang mempengaruhi hambatan dalam pemberian ASI Eksklusif. Metode: Jenis penelitian ini bersifat survei analitik dengan pendekatan Cross sectional. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah ibu yang memiliki bayi usia 0-6 bulan sejumlah 30 orang. Hasil: Penelitian statistik dengan Uji chi-square yaitu pada tingkat kepercayaan 95% dengan a=0,005 menunjukkan Pekerjaan dengan pemberian ASI Esklusif di peroleh p=0,015<a(0,05), Pengetahuan dengan pemberian ASI Esklusif diperoleh p=0,048<a(0,05), Sikap dengan pemberian ASI Esklusif di peroleh p=0,048<a(0,05). Setelah dianalisis, dari 30 ibu yang memberikan ASI Eksklusif, faktor yang lebih mempengaruhi hambatan dalam pemberian ASI Eksklusif adalah Pekerjaan ibu (p=0.045,OR=5.765). Kesimpulan: hasil tersebut membuktikan bahwa ada hubungan pekerjaan, pengetahuan dan sikap ibu dalam pemberian ASI Eksklusif di UPTD Puskesmas Non Rawat Inap Mandrehe Barat Tahun 2019.
