Abstract
Background: Hyperemesis gravidarum is a vomiting nausea that occurs until the age of pregnancy is 20 weeks, vomiting is so great that everything is eaten and Diminum in the vomit so that it takes on the general condition and daily work, bodyweight Menurun, dehydration. World health organization (WHO) the incidence rate of hyperemesis gravidarum in Indonesia is ranging from 1% to 3% of all of pregnancy. The WHO estimates annually occur 210 million pregnanciesaround the world. Selays 20 million women are experiencing pain as a result of pregnancy. About 8 million experienced life-threatening complications, and more than 500,000 died. Objectives: The purpose of this research is to know the relationship of factors related to hyperemesis gravidarum in pregnant women in Rsu Muhammadiyah Medan year 2017-2018. Method; This type of research is an analytical survey with cross sectionaldesign, The study population of all expectant mothers who visit Muhammadiyah Rsu which amounted to 80 pregnant mothers who are entirely in the sample (total Population). Data retrieval techniques use secondary data. The statistical test used in this study was the Chi Square test. Results: Results based on the Chi Square test showed at the age variable p-value 0.007 (< 0.05), p-value parity 0.002 (< 0.05) and P-value 0.000 work (< 0.05) which means there is a significant relationship between age, parity and occupation with hyperemesis gravidarum in the I trimester pregnant mother. Conclusion: The conclusion of the study is there is a link between age, parity and occupation with hyperemesis gravidarum on the 1st trimester pregnant women in the Muhammadiyah RSU Medan year 2017-2018. It is recommended that expectant mothers BE routine to visit ANC and to carry out information obtained from health officers to prevent and address the incidence of hyperemesis gravidarum
