Abstract

The work stress on nurses at Datu Beru Takengon Public Hospital is caused during the work period nurses do not receive appreciation for their cooperation to improve work standards or work jam. Another reason is because of the heavy workload and the number of nurses who do not increase, the ratio between the number of nurses and the number of patients is not balanced with patients which is 1:10 meaning that one nurse makes 10 patients. The purpose of the study was to study and analyze work pressure, workload and job satisfaction on the performance of nurses in the inpatient room of Datu Beru Takengon Regional Hospital.
The study design uses quantitative analytic surveys with cross-sectional design. The population of all nurses working in the Inpatient Room of Datu Beru Takengon Regional Hospital is 304 people. The sampling technique uses Proportional Random Sampling. The number of samples to be examined is 75 nurses. Data analysis was performed with univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis with chi_square.
The results of the study of work stress variables obtained p-value = 0,000, workload 0.003, and job satisfaction 0,000 <α 0.05, looking for a relationship between work stress, workload and job satisfaction with nurses, from the results of multivariate analysis obtained the most variable important in this study is the workload variable with a value of Exp B 22,121 which means that the workload is 22 times compared to the nurse's performance.
Conclusion there is a relationship between work stress, work load and job satisfaction on nurse performance while multivariate analysis shows the most dominant factor is workload variable on nurse performance. For nurses, mentors, training and providing assistance that can improve nurses 'performance such as giving appreciation, researchers will further stress work on nurses' performance
