Abstract

Job stress has become one of the issues that has received significant attention in many countries. Based on the results of the initial survey with 8 nurses using the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale questionnaire (DASS 21), it was found that 7 nurses experienced mild stress (87.5%) and 1 person did not experience stress (12.5%). The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that influence the work stress of nurses in the Puskesmas in the Simeulue District Health Office Working Area.
The quantitative research design used is an analytical survey with a Cross Sectional approach. The population in this study were 56 people and the samples taken by total sampling were as many as 56 people. Data collection methods are primary data and secondary data. Data analysis used is binary logistic regression test.
The results showed that the workload had a sig-p value of .010 < .05, the work environment sig-p .016 < .05 and role conflict had a sig-p value of .002 < .05, indicating that it had an influence on the stress of nurses' work puskesmas in the Simeulue District Health Office Working Area. The biggest variable has an effect on the work stress of puskesmas nurses namely role conflict variables, where role conflict has an influence with OR 14,440 on the occurrence of work stress as much as 14 times compared to bad role conflict.
The conclusions in this study are the influence of workload, work environment and role conflict on the stress of nurses working in the puskesmas. It is expected to be an input in taking action in anticipating work stress among nurses so that it can improve the performance of nurses in applying quality nursing care.
