Abstract

Background; Every pregnant woman certainly wants a healthy pregnancy. To get it should always have a pregnancy checked so that pregnancy complications are avoided. Based on WHO data (World Health Organization) in 2015, the ratio of maternal mortality (MMR) was defined as the number of maternal deaths per 100,000 live births estimated at 216 globally. Objectives; The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of characteristics of pregnant women with hypertension in pregnancy at Setabu Health Center of North Kalimantan in 2018. Method; The research design used analytical survey method with cross sectional approach. This research will be conducted at Setabu Health Center in North Kalimantan Province. The time of the study was from July to October in 2018. The population of this study was 55 pregnant women who had hypertension. The sampling used a total population where the entire population was sampled as many as 55 people. Result; Based on the results of the chi-square statistical test results obtained p-value of 0.006 <sig α (0.05), which means there was a relationship between the age of pregnant women with hypertension in pregnancy, the results of the chi-square statistic test obtained p-value of 0.024 <sig α (0.05), which means that there was a relationship between parity of pregnant women with hypertension in pregnancy, the results of the chi-square statistical test result obtained p-value of 0.003 <sig α (0.05), which means there was a historical relationship hypertension of pregnant women with hypertension in pregnancy. Conclusion; Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between age and hypertension in pregnancy, there is a relationship between parity and hypertension in pregnancy and there is a relationship between the histories of mothers with hypertension.
