Abstract
Unsafe action is a failure to follow the work requirements and work procedures that are correct so as to cause work accidents. As many as 80% -85% of work accidents are caused by negligence or human factor errors. Construction services are included in large companies with a high risk of work accidents. This can be seen from the work process that uses a lot of high-tech machines, multi-storey buildings, etc., giving rise to considerable potential hazards. For example, falling, slipping, sparks, and so on. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship of individual factors with unsafe actions on workers in office building construction projects at BPL Belawan PT. Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk.
The type of research used analytic study with cross sectional research design. The population were 350 people and the number of samples is 78 people. The sample were taken by using simple random sampling. Data analysis performed was univariate and bivariate with chi-square test at 95% confidence level.
The results of this study indicate that there is a significant relationship between variables of knowledge (p = 0.046), fatigue (p = 0.000), workload (p = 0.009), awareness (p = 0.004) with unsafe actions (unsafe actions) in development projects office building in BPL Belawan PT. Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk.
It is recommended to the safety supervisor to provide more supervision and direction, training workers before working to improve workers' knowledge so that workers can apply work behavior safely to reduce workplace accidents due to unsafe actions.
