Abstract
Scabies is an infectious skin disease caused by ticks Sarcoptes scabiei that form the tunnel in the stratum layer with symptoms of itching that can interfere with the activity and concentration of learning santri. The Al Mansuriyah Pesantren School Students of Puskesmas Penanggalan Subulussalam Sub-district in 2017 suffered a fairly high scabiei of 62.3%.
The purpose of this research is to know the influence of attitude, personal hygiene, environmental sanitation, role of UKS, role of teacher, family role and support of facility to disease of skabies at Pesantren Almansuriyah Area of Puskesmas Penanggalan Subulussalam City Year 2018. Type of research is mixed method with quantitative and qualitative approach. Qualitative approach is phenomenology and quantitative research approach is exploratory research design. The population is all the santri of 138 people. Sample of quantitative approach as much as 62 santris with the technique of taking a balanced (proportional to size). The sample of qualitative approach consists of 2 santris suffering from Sarcoptes scabiei and 3 persons (constructor of UKS, chairman of UKS, and school teacher). Quantitative data were analyzed by univariate, bivariate and multivariate, while the qualitative data were analyzed to reduce data, data validity, presentation and conclusion.
The result of the research at Pondok Pesantren Al Mansuriyah showed that the attitude factor of santri, personal hygiene, environmental sanitation, and the support of the means influence on the disease of scabies. Role factors of UKS, teachers and families have no effect on scabies disease. Qualitative analysis describes santri suffering from scabies due to the habit of menimjam equipment, peer influence, not drying the pillow, sunlight does not enter the bedroom, the role of health cadres less effective, drugs and the availability of clothesline.
It is suggested to the leadership of Pesantren Al Mansuriyah to provide environmental support facilities, especially clothesline, adequate bathroom / toilet and optimize the teacher to provide health education. Head of Pesantren Al Mansuriyah evaluated environmental sanitation and provision of supporting facilities, and cooperated with Puskesmas Penanggalan to provide counseling to pesantren
