Abstract
Amenorrhoea is a condition where women do not experience menstruation during fertile age. Amenorrhoea is a reproductive health problem in women of fertile age in Indonesia, including in the meulaboh city of Aceh province in 2017. In the Fauziah's clinic the number of birth control acceptors in 2017 was 622 participants. The acceptors who used injections were 599 participants (96.30%). This study aims to analyze the relationship between the use of injectable birth control of 3-months and amenorrhoea at the Fauziah clinic in West Aceh district in 2018.
Type of this study used an analytical survey research with Cross-Sectional approach. The sampling technique of this research used accidental sampling technique which is accidental sampling without planning. Whoever is there is determined injectable birth control of 3-months acceptor sample at the Ni'an Fauziah clinic in West Aceh district. Data were analyzed by performing chi square.
The results showed that the injectable birth control of 3-months variable had a significant relationship with the amenorrhoea variable at a significant level of 0.02; These results conclude that there is a relationship with the use of injectable birth control of 3-months with amenorrhoea at the Fauziah clinic in Aceh Barat district, Aceh province.
The conclusion of this case is that the longer the use of injectable birth control of 3-months, the more at risk of menstrual disorders, one of which is amenorrhoea. It was suggested to the mother of the Fauziah Clinic leader in West Aceh District of Meulaboh city to continue to improve counseling and provide counseling to fertile couples who would use the injectable birth control of 3-months.
