Abstract
Abortion is the threat or expulsion of conception before the fetus can live outside the womb. And abortion of gestational age less than 20 weeks or fetal weight less than 500 grams. The incidence of abortion in 2014 was generally mentioned at 10% of all pregnancies. More than 80% of abortions occur in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy. The purpose of this research is to find out whether there are factors that influence the occurrence of abortion in pregnant women at the Imelda General Hospital Indonesian Medan Workers in 2018
The design of this study uses an analytical survey with a cross sectional approach (different latitude). The sample used amounted to 36 respondents with the total population technique, the data used was secondary data.
The analysis used for bivariate with the chi-squaer test results of the study there is a relationship between age and incidence of abortion in pregnant women where (p value 0.001 <0.05), there is a relationship of parity with incidence of abortion in pregnant women where (p value 0.004 <0, 05), and there is a work relationship with the incidence of abortion in pregnant women where (p value 0.024 <0.05). In Imelda Hospital, Indonesian Workers in Medan in 2018.
The conclusion of this study is that there are factors that influence the occurrence of abortion in pregnant women in Imelda General Hospital Indonesian Medan Hospital in 2018. It is expected that health workers should provide counseling regarding risk factors associated with the occurrence of abortion in pregnant women.
