Abstract
Pregnancy checks are very important for all pregnant women to know about fetal growth and maternal health. Almost all pregnant women in Indonesia (95.4%) have had a pregnancy check up (K1) and a frequency of at least 4 times during their pregnancy (83.5%). This study aims to determine the relationship of family support with adherence to ANC visits in Trimester III Pregnant Women in the Maternity Hospital of Medan City in 2018.
This type of research is an analytical survey with a cross sectional approach, with a population of 126 people, a sample of 30 people was carried out by accidental sampling technique, which was sampling accidentally without being planned. The measuring instrument used was a questionnaire using univariate, bivariate and multivariate data analysis.
The results of the study of 30 pregnant women were the majority of Family Support 16 people (53.3%) who obeyed 12 ANC visits (40%) and 4 non-adherents (13.3%). The results of statistical tests with Chi-Square test with a confidence level of 95% with ɑ = 0.05, that is a significant value of probability. Family support with compliance with ANC visits for pregnant women whose P value (Sign) is <0.05, meaning that instrumental family support variables have a significant relationship with a value of 0.023 <0.05.
The conclusion in this study is that there is a relationship between Instrumental Family Support and Compliance with ANC Visits in III Trimester Pregnant Women in the Maternity Hospital of Medan City in 2018.
