Abstract

Basic immunization is very important given to infants aged 0-11 months to provide immunity from diseases that can be prevented by immunization such as tuberculosis, diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, polio, hepatitis B and measles. The results of the initial survey the author did, the author interviewed 10 mothers with 6 mothers who did not want to give immunizations to their babies because mothers were afraid of sick babies after being immunized and 4 other mothers had immunized their babies because according to mothers very important immunizations were given to babies as immunity in the baby's body. The purpose of this study was to find out the Factors (Knowledge of Mother, Husband's Support, Sources of Information obtained by Mother) influence the completeness of basic immunization in infants aged 12-24 months in Wek VI Subdistrict, South Padangsidimpuan District, Padangsidimpuan City in 2018.
This type of research is an analytical survey with cross sectional approach. The population in this study were 72 people and sampling used purposive sampling, with inclusion criteria being used as a sample of 35 people. Data was analyzed with the help of SPSS and used the Chi-Square Test at a significant level (α = 0.05).
The results showed that maternal knowledge factors influence the completeness of basic immunization on p-value infants (0,000 <0,05), husband's p-value support (0,000 <0,05), and p-value information sources (0,016 <0,05 ), then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted.
From the results of the study it can be concluded that the factors of maternal knowledge, husband support, and sources of information obtained by the mother influence the completeness of basic immunization in infants aged 12-24 months in Wek VI Subdistrict, South Padangsidimpuan Subdistrict, Padangsidimpuan City in 2018. Suggestions that can be conveyed by researchers are Posyandu, Wek VI Subdistrict, South Padangsidimpuan Subdistrict, Padangsidimpuan City, further improves performance and support in conducting counseling and provides information on immunization, benefits and impacts caused after immunization.
