Abstract

Cocoa beans are rich in flavonoids, one of which is a polyphenol compound, namely catechins, epikatekin, anthocyanidins. Polyphenols in chocolate can slow down premature aging and improve blood circulation. Besides that, chocolate seeds contain vitamins A and E which are very useful for removing dead skin cells. The purpose of this study was to determine the method of making chocolate seed (Theobroma cacao L.) ethanol extract, which was formulated in liquid bath soap.
This study is experimental research methods, namely a research by conducting experimental activities to determine the effect that exists, as a result of the existence of certain treatments or experiments conducted by examining experiments conducted on the dependent variable test, using an organoleptic test experiment, homogeneity test, foam height test, pH test, hedonic test and irritation test.
The results of the study showed that the number of black metal and water damage was 44.44%, 61.11%, 33.33%. The three parameters of soap and water have a pH value of 8.7; 9.5; 10.0, and meets SNI 06-4085-1996, does not experience irritation on the skin, formulation, soap and liquid, shape, color, and stable, unchanging color. The three formulas of liquid and unacceptable granules can be said when the formula is unmodified and homogeneous. There is a non-standard availability of 2.5% which is most preferred by panelists. This thing can be said that the formula is soaps and water-based ethanol chocolates can be used as soap and liquid.
The conclusion of this study is that all of the preparations are homogeneous, pH ranges from 8.7 to 10.0, has good foam power, does not cause irritation, itching or redness of the skin, and the most preferred form of liquid bath soap preparation by volunteers is formulation. at 2.5% dosage concentration
