Abstract
According to Riskesdas,anemia in pregnant women is related with an increase in preterm birth, maternal and child mortality and infectious diseases. Iron deficiency anemia in the mother can affect fetal/infant growth and development during pregnancy and afterwards. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that influence anemia in pregnant women in the third trimester of Latong Health Center, Lubuk Barumun Sub District of Padang Lawas District in 2018.
This study uses analytical survey research design with a cross sectional approach.The samples taken usea total sampling of 35 respondents all anemic pregnant women in the third trimester who received examinations in the medical record and who had a MCH book at Latong Health Center,LubukBarumunSub District of Padang Lawas District 2018 in 2018.
Based on the result of research showed that from 35 respondents with p value 0,007 <0,05 in knowledge variable, p value 151 <0,05 in parity variable, p value 0,45 <0,05 on variable of pregnancy distance, p value 0,34 <0,05 on the variable compliance to consuming Fe tablets.
The conclusion of this study shows that there isthe factors that influence anemia in pregnant women in third trimester atLatong Health Center in 2018. The suggestion of this study is that the research site is expected to provide more counseling to pregnant women about anemia.
