Abstract
Nutritional problems are problems that occur in every life cycle, starting in the womb (fetus), infants, children, adults and old age. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors related to the application of the principle of nutrition awareness in the household order to the nutritional status of toddler.
This type of research is an analytical survey with a cross sectional study design. The study was conducted at Sisumut Village, Kotapinang Sub-District of South Labuhanbatu Regency by using a total sampling technique amount 50 mothers who have toddlers. Logistic regression test was used to analyze the data.
Based on the results of the study note that nutritional status was related to knowledge (p = .020), attitude (p = .012), economy (p = 0,000), dietary restrictions (p = 0,000) and counseling of health workers (p = 0,000).
The conclusion shows that the factors related to the nutritional status of children under five are knowledge, attitudes, economics, dietary restrictions, and counseling of health workers. It is expected that pregnant women and families are able to take the time to attend nutritional counseling held by health workers to increase maternal knowledge about how to overcome malnutrition problems and routinely seek information about good nutrition for toddlers.
