Abstract
DHF is an endemic disease in the Tebing Tinggi City area. Data from the Sri Padang Health Center, during 2018 dengue cases 21 cases. In 2019, until March 2019, 2 cases of DHF were found. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of predisposing, supporting and encouraging factors on the actions of family heads in the prevention of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) in the Sri Padang Health Center in Tebing Tinggi City in 2019. This type of research is explanatory survey research which is analytic with Cross Sectional approach. The population of this research is all family heads (KK) in the working area of Sri Padang Health Center in Tebing Tinggi City with 1,137 households. Through the Slovin formula, a sample of 296 people was obtained using proportional stratified random sampling technique. Data analysis using univariate analysis, bivariate with chi-square test and multivariate with multiple logistic regression tests. The results of the bivariate analysis obtained p values of each variable: knowledge (0,000), availability of facilities and infrastructure (0.001), support of health workers (0,000) and support of community leaders (0,000). Through multivariate analysis it was found that only knowledge (p-value = 0,000) and support of health workers (p-value = 0,000) had an influence on the prevention of DHF. The conclusion is the knowledge and support of health workers influence the prevention of DHF. The most influential variable is the support of health workers. It is recommended that the local government be more strict in making policies related to the prevention of DHF through PSN.
