Abstract
Tuberculosis (TB) is a bacterial infection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis which attacks and damages human body tissues. These bacteria can be transmitted through the airways. The purpose of this study was to determine the profile of tuberculosis prescription in the outpatient pharmacy at Haji Hospital Medan.
The method of this research is descriptive with a total sample of 115 tuberculosis drugs prescription using a purposive sampling method. Data collection was carried out through observation with inclusions in samples aged 15 - 65 years.
The results showed that the majority showed that of 115 patients, aged >45-55 years amounted 51 patients (44.4%), male patients were 62 patients (53.9%), using 111 BPJS (96.5%), patients were in the clay field region amounted 70 (60.9%), the number of patients based on the use of prescription by poly and OAT form 2 of 115 patients, amounted 62 patients (53.9%) were poly patients using a prescription, advanced patients who were OAT category II patients 80 (69.5%).
The conclusion of this study is the use of prescriptions by pulmonary poly amounted 62 prescriptions from 14 categories of completeness prescription analysis administratively amounted to 71.4% constituting 11 categories available and totalling 28.6%, 4 categories not available this is not in accordance with the completeness and the validity of the prescription in accordance with the Minister of Health Regulation No. 35 of 2014 concerning pharmaceutical services but in accordance with the National Formulary policy on hospital prescription an administration which is also listed at Haji General Hospital Formulary of Medan.
