Stunting In Children In Village Fadoro Lasara Gunungsitoli District Gunungsitoli City In 2019
Background: Stunting is a condition where a toddler has a height that does not match age which is minus two standard deviations from the median standard of child growth from WHO. Factors that can cause stunting include the nutritional status of pregnant women, a history of exclusive breastfeeding, and the provision of complimemtary breastmilk. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine Stunting in Toddlers in the Village of Fadoro Lasara, Gunungsitoli District, Gunungsitoli City in 2019. Methods: The design of this research was analytic survey with Cross-Sectional approach. The study population was 87 toddlers in the village of Fadoro Lasara with a purposive sampling technique so that the sample of researchers became 42 toddlers. Data analysis with univariate and bivariate analysis using Chi-square test. Result: Statistical test results obtained a probability value of .333>.05 shows there is no relationship between the nutritional status of pregnant women with stunting. While the history of exclusive breastfeeding obtained a probability value of .029<.05 and the administration of complimentary breastmilk obtained a probability value of 0.00<.05 which indicates that they have a relationship with stunting. Conclusion: of the study is that there is no relationship between the nutritional status of pregnant women with stunting while the history of exclusive breastfeeding and complimentary breastmilk administration is related to stunting.
