Abstract

Background: Early neonatal mortality rate is one of the biggest contributors to the high infant mortality rate, an increase in maternal age will increase various risks such as Intrauterine Fetal Death (IUFD) 20 weeks of gestation or more. It is known that the number of mothers who experienced it in Haji Generael Hospital Medan starting in 2016 to 2018 was 33 people. Objective: This study aimed to determine the relationship of Age, Parity, and Complications of Mothers with Intrauterine Fetal Death in Haji Hospital Medan in 2016-2018. Methods: The research design used descriptive analytic with cross-sectional approach. The study population was all pregnant women who experienced IUFD at Haji General Hospital Medan in 2016-2018 amount 33 people recorded in the medical record and all were sampled by total sampling technique. Data uses secondary and Tertiary data. Data analysis uses univariate and bivariate analyzes by using chi-square. Results: Showed that there was a significant relationship between maternal age p = .048 <a = .05, parity was obtained p = .037 <a = .05, pregnancy complications were obtained p = .043 <a = .05 meaning Ha was accepted. Conclusion: shows that there is a significant relationship between age, parity, complications of pregnancy with IUFD at Haji General Hospital Medan.
