Abstract

Dysmenorrhoea in teenagers must be treated even with self-medication or to avoid things that are more severe. National early menarche prevalence is 10.3% and late menarche is 8.8%. Based on an initial survey of 20 class VII and VIII students, 19 people were experiencing dysmenorrhoea. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that influence dysmenorrhoea in teenage girls.

The research design used Cross-Sectional. The population in this study were 294 people and the sample taken by stratified random sampling as many as 75 people. Data collection methods are primary, secondary and tertiary data. Analysis of the data used is using univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis with logistic regression tests.

The results showed that the age of menarche against dysmenorrhoea in teenage girls with p-value=.003<.05), the menstrual cycle of dysmenorrhoea with p-value=.009<.05, the duration of menstruation against dysmenorrhoea with p-value of p-value=.020<.05 and nutritional status of dysmenorrhoea with p-value=.118> .05.

The conclusion in this study showed that there was an influence of menarche age, menstrual cycle and menstrual length on dysmenorrhoea in teenage girls in Tebing Tinggi State 3 junior high school, while nutritional status had no effect on dysmenorrhea in teenage girls in Tebing Tinggi junior high school. For the school the results of this study are expected to be able to make / carry out routine activities such as gymnastics which are carried out every morning to reduce pain during menstruation for teenage girls in State 3 High School Tebing Tinggi.
