Abstract

Lime (Citrus aurantifolia (Christm.) Swingle) is one of the toga plants used in the community, both for cooking spices and for medicines from the juice of the lime juice. For medicine, lime is used as a heat-reducing, body weight, and antibacterial. Flavonoids contained in the peel of lime (Citrus aurantifolia (Christm.) Swingle) have a broad spectrum of biological activity including antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral. Flavonoids function as antioxidants and kill free radicals, have the capacity to regulate enzymatic activity and inhibit cell proliferation. The research method was carried out experimentally, the skin of lime (Citrus aurantifolia (Christm.) Swingle) was extracted by maceration method using 70% ethanol solvent and concentrated with a rotary evaporator. The concentration of lime peel extract (Citrus aurantifolia (Christm.) Swingle) used was 10%, 15%, and 20% than compared with Blanko. Evaluation tests conducted on roll-on deodorant preparations include organoleptic tests, homogeneity tests, pH tests, irritation tests, and bacterial inhibitory activity tests. It can be concluded that the ethanol extract of lime peel (Citrus aurantifolia (Christm.) Swingle) can be formulated in a roll-on deodorant preparation and has a bacterial inhibitory activity where at a concentration of 20% has inhibitory activity with an average of 10.93 mm with a strong category.
