Abstract
The 65th World Health Assembly in 2016, budget countries according to the World Health Organization (WHO) set a target in 2025 that at least 50% of babies less than 6 months be given exclusive breastfeeding. Objective: The results of initial survey conducted in March 2019 at Aek Dakka Village, out of 10 nursing mothers found 4 who said their breast milk was smooth and 6 was not. Methods: The design of this study was analytical survey, with cross sectional approach. The population was mothers who have babies aged 4-6 months who will conduct immunization visits in August, with a total sample of 34 people taken by accidental sampling. Data analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis and tested by Chi-square test. Result: Data from the sample which tested by Chi-square test results obtained that there was a relationship of family support with the smooth production of breast milk p = 0,000 (p <.05), there was a correlation between the frequency of breastfeeding with smooth breast milk production p = .003 (p <.05), there was a relationship between breast care and smooth breast milk production p = .049 (p <.05), there was a relationship between the use of estrogen contraception with smooth breast milk production p = .020 (p <. 05). Conclusion: shows that there is a relationship between family support, breastfeeding frequency, breast care and estrogen contraception use with breast milk production smooth.
