Abstract
WHO or the World Health Organization has a target of achieving exclusive breastfeeding 50% in 2025. Based on data only 40% gave exclusive breastfeeding in 2015. Indonesia had a target of exclusive breastfeeding of 80% in 2014. According to the Indonesian Health Profile in 2012 which was 48.6% and slightly increased to 54.3% in 2013, and in 2017 the exclusive breastfeeding rate only reached 35%, it is still categorized low and fluctuating. But, the achievement of exclusive breastfeeding increased in Langsa of 66.5% in 2018.
This research was conducted in Langsa by qualitative with a narrative approach. The informants were interviewed amounted to 5 people. Data were analyzed with steps in data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing.
The results of local government policy in Langsa about exclusive breastfeeding has been carried out in the implementation of Mayor Regulation No. 37 of 2018. The role of stakeholders in giving exclusive breastfeeding is to disseminate supporting facilities for exclusive breastfeeding in the form of breast milk but not yet maximized, Become breastfeed counsellor in the community, implement early Breastfeeding Initiation. The role of the leader of the working mother towards exclusive breastfeeding is important in motivating and making policies during working.
The conclusion of this research is that the Local Government's policy on exclusive breastfeeding for working mothers has been carried out, and the role of stakeholders in exclusive breastfeeding for working mothers has been supportive but still not optimal in the form of facilitating breastfeeding space in the workplace.
