Abstract
Achievement of immunization indicators in Indonesia in 2016 was 91.58%. This achievement is greater than the 2015 achievement of 86.54%. This figure reached the 2016 Strategic Plan target of 91.5%. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with basic immunization in infants in Lahusa Subdistrict, South Nias Regency, 2018.
The research design used analytical surveys. Analytical survey is a study consisting of independent variables and dependent variables with a cross sectional approach. The population is all mothers who have babies 9-24 months in Lahusa Village in 2018 amounted 35 people. This sampling technique is the total population.
The results of this study with univariate analysis of 35 respondents, the majority were in the category 24 Less 24 (68.8%), both 2 (5.7%), and minorities with enough categories 9 (25.7) respondents. the majority are in the category of PT amounted 24 (68.8%), basic category 2 (5.7%), and minority in the middle category 9 (25.7) respondents. the majority of categories do not work amounted 24 (68.8%), and minority working categories 9 (25.7) respondents. Bivariate analysis used chi-square test obtained knowledge factor with a value = 0.003, education n = 0.001, work with fisher exact test n = 0.002.
Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that there are factors of knowledge, education, work related to the completeness of basic immunization in baby aged 0-12 months. It is expected that health workers, especially midwives, increase knowledge about immunization and conduct counseling on the importance of basic immunization on babies from 0 - 12 months.
