Abstract

Cervical Cancer/Cervix is a malignant tumour that grows in the cervix/cervix. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), cervical cancer is the fourth most frequent cancer in women with 570,000 new cases in 2018 representing 6.6% of all female cancers. Preliminary survey data conducted by researchers in March 2019 there were 3 people who were interested in conducting VIA examinations, and 12 people not interested in conducting VIA examinations. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors related to childbearing age Interest in VIA Examination at the Pusbal Inpatient Hospital in Tanjungbalai in 2019.
This research used analytic survey design with a cross-sectional approach. the population of this study was all married childbearing age in the working area of Sipori-pori Inpatient Health Centre amounted 4,746 people. The sample of this study was taken amounted 98 respondents with Random Sampling. The data were analyzed by using univariate and bivariate analyses with the chi-square test.
Based on the results of research from 98 childbearing age, there is a relationship between attitude and interest in conducting via examination with p-value = .023, there is a relationship between husband's support and interest in conducting VIA examination with p-value = .009, and there is a relationship between health facility distance and interest in conducting examination VIA with p-value = .017.
The conclusion in this study that there is a relationship between attitude, husband support, and distance of health facilities with an interest in conducting via examinations at the 2019 poresori inpatient health centre. it is recommended for health workers to conduct cervical cancer counselling and invite childbearing age who have had sexual relations for early detection of cervical cancer by doing VIA.
