Abstract
Twisted cluster bean (Parkia speciosa Hassk) is a familiar plant and is well known in Indonesia because it is often consumed as a mixture of food menus, and is characterized by its sharp aroma. Petai species also grow endemic in Southeast Asia found in Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines. Petai skin contains a large amount of phenol and flavonoid compounds, this can be applied as an incision wound. The aim is to determine the optimal dose and wound healing process in mice by using ethanol gel extracting the skin from the Twisted cluster bean plant (Parkia speciosa Hassk). This research was an experimental study with a macroscopic method and continued with the results of the measurement of the percentage of treat cut treated using SPSS 20.0, the statistical analysis includes a homogeneity test, one way ANOVA test and if there are significant differences, further testing is done using LSD (Least Significant Difference test) ). The test results of gel Twisted cluster bean peel extract ethanol found an activity to accelerate treat cut on rats which was shown in the concentration group of 2.5%, 5% and 7.5%. Macroscopic observations of gel twisted cluster bean peel ethanol extract showed a treat cut activity in mice, namely the discolouration of the cut, the formation of scabs and the formation of new skin. The conclusion based on the results of the percentage of graphic research shows the optimal concentration dose of ethanol gel of fruit peels from Twisted cluster bean is a concentration of 5%.
