Abstract
Early married women need attention because it will have an impact on increasing the Total Fertility Rate (TFR). Based on 2017 IDHS data, there are 36 births for adolescents aged 15 to 19 years per 1000 births. This study aims to determine the factors related to the participation of women of early age married couples in the use of family planning in Seunebok village, Keuranji, South Aceh in 2019.
This research was an analytical survey with cross-sectional approach. The study was conducted in Seunebok Keuranji from March-July 2019. The population of this study was women married couples at an early age, totaling 128 people and a sample of 56 responsible. Data obtained used a questionnaire, data analysis consisted of univariate and bivariate analyses. Bivariate analysis using Chi-Square statistical tests at α=5%.
The results showed the statistical test results using the chi-square test variable knowledge, attitudes, husband support, income and the number of children with family planning participation, obtained p-value=0.000<α=.05, then the hypothesis was accepted.
The conclusion of this study is the relationship of knowledge, attitudes, husband support, income and number of children with the participation of early age married women in the use of family planning in Seunebok Village in 2019. It is recommended to the Seunebok Keuranji Community Health Centre to provide information and counseling on how to prevent pregnancy and childbirth at age early by using contraception.
