Abstract

Measles (Measles) and Rubella (MR) are infectious diseases transmitted through the airways caused by the Measles and Rubella viruses. Lingga Tiga is the village with the lowest Measles, Rubella (MR) immunization coverage, which is 3.7%. The purpose of this study was to analyze factors related to the administration of Measles, Rubella (MR) immunization in Lingga Tiga Village, Bilah Hulu District, Labuhanbatu Regency in 2019.
This type of research is an analytic survey with cross sectional design. The study population was all mothers who have children aged 9 months-15 years in Lingga Tiga Village, with a total sample of 92 people taken by simple random sampling technique. Univariate and bivariate data analysis with chi-square test statistics.
Based on the results of the study showed that factors related to the administration of Measles, Rubella (MR) immunization in Lingga Tiga Village, Bilah Hulu District, Labuhanbatu Regency, namely knowledge (p = 0,000), attitude (p = 0,000), family support (p = 0,000) and support of health workers (p = 0.002).
The conclusion of this study is that factors related to the administration of Measles, Rubella (MR) immunization are knowledge, attitudes, family support and support of health workers. It is recommended to health workers in Lingga Tiga Village, Bilah Hulu District to provide health education or education to the community, especially families who have children aged 9 months - 15 years regularly about Measles, Rubella (MR) immunization so that the mother's knowledge becomes good, attitudes become positive and get support from the family to provide Measles, Rubella (MR) immunization.
